Jackie Johnson
lives in Nashville, TN. He studied drawing and painting at the
University of Louisiana, Lafayette, where he earned a Bachelor
of Fine Arts. He then earned a Master of Fine Arts in Painting
at the University of Georgia.
In his career, he has worked with a variety of mediums and techniques
including pen and ink illustration, acrylic painting, and graphic
design. As of late, Jackie has embraced the traditional craft
of woodturning. He enjoys spending time in his workshop making
unique pepper mills, lidded boxes, bowls and other objects that
emphasis the beauty of wood. Jackie is a professional member of
The American Association of Woodturners (AAW), the Tennessee Association of Woodturners (TAW) and the Tennessee Association of Craft Artists (TACA).
His family also shares a great talent and love for the arts. His
son, Bram, is an illustrator graphic designer and Web designer. His daughter, Jillian,
is a photographer, graphic and Web designer. His wife, Sally,
is a talented seamstress. |
